Sky Digital has announced two great new BROADBAND offers

1. FOR NEW SKY TV CUSTOMERS:
6 months free Broadband Unlimited (up to 20Mb) for new customers joining Sky TV and taking Sky Talk Line Rental (£11 p/m) and Calls (either free Sky Talk Freetime, or Sky Talk Unlimited for £5 p/m)

2. FOR EXISTING SKY TV CUSTOMERS:
6 months free Broadband Unlimited (up to 20Mb) for existing customers taking Sky Talk Line Rental (£11 p/m) and Calls (either free Sky Talk Freetime, or Sky Talk Unlimited for £5 p/m). Not available to existing Sky Broadband Customers.

Both offers start 23rd April 2010 and end 31st May 2010.

The Sky 3D service will be launching this year and whilst initially it was thought that you would be able to receive the first of the 3D channels in the comfort of your home from April according to the latest Sky magazine you will only be able to watch 3D in certain pubs around the country.

Looks like we will have to wait until the Autumn until we can receive the 3D programming in the home.

The good news is that you can at least upgrade to the latest Sky HD box in the knowledge that it will receive the 3D channels without any kind of upgrade being required.

Sky have officially announced that their 3d service, which will launch later this year (2010), will be compatible with the 3D TVs being launched by LG, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony.

Sky Supertelly

The main change to the latest Sky offer is that they are now supplying a SKY+ HD box even if you only sign up for the non-HD service. If you sign up for the HD service then the box and setup are FREE otherwise there is a £30 standard setup fee for new customers.

You also get £25 worth of M&S vouchers and the option to sign up for their broadband & calls packages and get FREE Broadband and FREE Calls for a short time.

FREE SKY+ HD Box – even if you only want standard SKY you now get a SKY HD box as standard. You will need an HD Ready TV and an HD subscription to watch HD channels but the SKY+ HD box will also allow you to watch standard definition channels.

Sky have now changed their offer to FREE SKY+ HD Box + FREE Broadband + FREE Calls + 3D Ready + £25 M&S Voucher.

FREE SKY+ HD Box – even if you only want standard SKY you now get a SKY HD box as standard and FREE. You will need an HD Ready TV and an HD subscription to watch HD channels but the SKY+ HD box will also allow you to watch standard definition channels.

3D Ready – All SKY+ HD boxes are able to receive 3D programming once the channels are launched without any need to upgrade.

Existing customers taking their first Sky+HD package online with Sky Multiroom (£10 a month) can also get free standard set up. #Free calls apply to evening and weekend UK landline calls to 01, 02, 03 & 0870 numbers only (excludes Channel Islands, indirect and dial-up Internet access and 070 numbers). SKY have launched a much larger capacity 1TB SKY+ HD box today which can hold up to 740 hours of standard definition and 240 hours of high definition programming.

As with all their HD boxes this new one is also 3D compatible so once you purchase a 3D TV you will be able to use your Sky+ HD box to receive 3D programming when it launches later in the year.

If you are not bothered about the extra capacity of the new box then now is a good time to get a standard HD box as you can get it for FREE as well as FREE M&S vouchers until February 5th.
